The Hardeman County Arts Council (HCAC) is offering a $500, one-time scholarship to two qualified high school seniors from Hardeman County.
The scholarship is open to seniors pursuing a college major or minor in the arts and/or related fields. Degree programs in art, creative writing, dance, drama, literature, and music, as well as teaching in these areas or related fields, will be considered. Students who have participated in an HCAC production on stage, behind the scenes, or in the box office, are also eligible to apply even if they are not pursuing a degree in one of those fields.
BCHS and MHS students may pick up a scholarship application from their high school counselor. Homeschool and private school students may contact Jennifer Smeltser at (510) 931-8314 to receive an application.
The application deadline is Friday, April 17, 2026.
Late entries will not be accepted.
The $500 check will be mailed directly to the scholarship recipient after the student presents a schedule of official class registration from the college they are attending.
